Adding text to an image in Photoshop

Background info

I decided to create a design that I could use for my creative project for my grad degree. For my creative project I am putting together an online beginning photography class. My class will have several units and this design will be part of one of my units about editing photos. I am also going to use this design for my own use as a photographer. I sometimes teach beginning classes and this will be a great design to share with students.

Photoshop skills used

o     Opened a photo I took in Photoshop

o   Used the adjustments tools to enhance the colors

o   Used the crop tool to crop the image

o   Used an action that I had bought from an editing company

o   Used the text tool to add text to the photo

o   Used a script font to enhance the design

o   Saved the photo to use for this assignment and for my creative project

Design considerations

o   I wanted to create a simple visual to teach how to add text to an image in Photoshop for my beginning photography class for my creative project as well as something I could share electronically with photography students

o   I wanted the visual to be on one image to show the results

o   I wanted to use a colorful image that I had recently taken to add to the visual

o   I used an action that I had already purchased to edit the image

o   I used an online color design tool to decide which colors to use for the text

o   I used a font already in Photoshop as well as another font I downloaded

o   I used the contrasting typography design concept when choosing fonts
